Due to the easy handling and the possible double embeddings, high sample throughputs are possible. All parameters are controlled via a 5.7" colour touch screen and saved via an internal memory. Pre-set warm embedding parameters can be imported or exported via the unit's USB port. All phases are visible on the touch screen during the warm embedding process and can be changed at any time. Each function can be set separately.
4 pressurisation modes are available. In addition, there is a function that reduces water consumption for cooling. As soon as the PRESSLAM 1.1 is switched on, the system performs a preheating cycle which is terminated after 6 minutes. Due to the temperature range between 20 and 200 °C, all commercially available warm embedding materials can be used.
The press cylinder is easily accessible and wide open to position the sample and perform filling. The sample chamber can be locked and unlocked quickly and easily by swiveling the chamber lock.
The PRESSLAM 1.1 is equipped with a main heating system that houses the cylinder. This element is connected to the cooling system. The standard heater is suitable for diameters between 25.4 and 40 mm. A heating element for a diameter of 50 mm is also available. The press cylinder can be changed without tools. Changing the heater takes only a few minutes.
