Application video CUTLAM 3.1
3 cutting modes, large touch screen and Smart Motion function
The working table of the CUTLAM 3.1 can be automatically moved forwards and backwards over a distance of 300 mm. The cutting disc has an automatic and linear up and down movement. This cutting machine offers 140 mm of space under the cutting disc. The CUTLAM 3.1 has a metal body with a side opening for cutting bar stock.
The CUTLAM 3.1 is very easy to use with its large touchscreen (5.7 inch) and intuitive user interface. The two automatic axes of the CUTLAM 3.1 (the 3rd axis is optional) can be controlled manually using two joysticks located under the control screen. The internal memory allows storing more than 300 cutting programs. These can be imported or exported via USB port. The speed of the cut-off wheel and the feed rate of the axes can be programmed to prevent deterioration or deformation of the samples. 3 cutting modes are possible: manual (joysticks), semi-automatic and automatic. The axes can be moved continuously or sequentially.
The CUTLAM 3.1 has a Smart Motion function. An optimum torque for the cutting disc, defined via the touchscreen, automatically regulates the feed speed of the axes. This option allows cutting of materials of different hardness (e.g. steel with anti-wear coating) without changing the feed speed. It can also be used to avoid long, tedious test measurements to determine the correct feed rate. A safety lock keeps the hood closed when the blade rotates. With the cover open, axis movement (controlled by the joysticks) is only possible if the technician presses the "man present" button.
